FAQs

When and where will the Civic Leadership Initiative take place?

The conference will take place February 17th, 2017 at Yale's West Campus.

Who can come?

The conference is open to all Yale College undergraduates and civically-minded individuals.

How much does it cost?

Attendance is 100% free. The Yale College Dean’s Office will make arrangements for travel and lodging near Yale’s main campus. Please submit the travel request form that was sent to you at your earliest convenience. We can organize travel from main campus in New Haven to the West Campus Conference Center on Saturday. Breakfast and lunch will be included.

How does travel to West Campus work?

Buses will depart from Old Campus at 9:00 am and depart from West Campus at 5:30 pm.

Who will attend?

Attendees will be Yale undergraduate students from diverse backgrounds and organization affiliations on campus. Generally, this summit draws students involved in Dwight Hall, the community service umbrella organization, student government, policy advocacy groups, and social justice groups. In previous years, the majority of them have been first-years and sophomores. We expect about 12-15 students to participate in each workshop session.
